Gold Coast to Moreton Bay Island - QLD
6 - 7 May 2019
After spending 3 weeks at dry dock at Gold Coast Marina doing the annual haul out, we are on our way again. Heading to Moreton Bay Island, the conditions were great although no sailing. Power lines are always daunting given that our mast reaches 28 m. The water was beautiful and calm on arrival at Moreton Bay and it looked like an idyllic place to swim in the morning. The wind blew up overnight making it a rocky night for sleeping and the hillside blocked the sunlight in the morning making it a bit too cold to swim. A lovely scenic place though with great long beaches and some good sand hills to help get the hear rate up.
