Paradise - Yeppoon & Pearl Bay QLD 20-21 May 2019
Continuing on our lap of Australia on Paradise. Sailing to Yeppoon to provision the boat and pick up some feed to deliver at Middle Percy Island for the chickens and goats in a couple of days.
Approaching Yeppoon the water was a distinct murky colour, I'm not sure if the colour is due to algae or silt from the mud flats. It was a quick stay overnight at the marina and we borrowed the courtesy car for a couple of hours. The signs at the boat ramp reminded us that there may be crocs about. Most vessels had strobe lights, it looked like there was a disco at the marina - but there was no one there!
Back on the water, where is was rough again but it seemed a bit calmer on the blue water. We stayed overnight at Pearl Bay but didn't venture very far as it is a military zone. Next stop is Middle Percy Island.
