Paradise - Cape Edgcomb, Greys Bay & Horseshoe Bay, Bowen QLD

13 June

Bowen is a little gem, everything is perfectly maintained and clean (except for the maggots in the council bin, eww!) and it's a real tidy town. The rock formations at Horseshoe Bay remind me of the Greece Island, it's just missing the Taverna on the beach.

I can see why there are so many grey nomads here, what a perfect place to stay. We met a gentleman from San Remo in Phillip Island who stays at Bowen for 3 months every winter. He said that it's perfect as there aren't any mozzies or midgies and the temperature is between 25-27C every day. The fishing is great and the facilities and bays are amazing.

Jonathan caught a squid and Nathalie released it before it could ink the boat.

I'm still surprised that you can see the sunrise and sunset over the water. Bowen is definitely a place we would come back to visit.
