Paradise - Dunk Island & Mourilyan Harbour, QLD
23-24 June 2019
Dunk Island was once a popular resort but now it sits in ruin since Cyclone Yasi. It's one of many resorts that have been abandoned over the last few years.
From a distance, the resort looks as though it is still intact but when we got closer we could see the plants growing inside the rooms and the damage to the structure and roof.
We got to meet our sailing friends Greg and Kerri again, who introduced us to Doug and Jeanette and caught up for Sundowners and dinner.
We spent a night at Mouriliyan Harbour which happened to be the quietest anchorage we have experienced. Our next destination is Fitzroy Island.
